Maybe the sound is too “clean,” too precisely produced, but when I want a tremendously strong vocal wailing out over amazingly complex bossa-nova instrumental patterns this is one album I turn to. “Freeze Thaw,” “Run for Cover,” and “New Day for You” are especially fun.
