I think this was the first taste I had of both Finnish music and the sound of the kantele. It was unquestionably the beautiful track “Valaam Bells” that got me interested in the former and led me to the group Loituma and to Timo Väänänen, as they have also featured gorgeous kantele songs imitating churchbells.
