As always, Annie’s breathtaking in “acoustic” mode, and the Radio 1 recordings on the first single are mighty fine. The concert tracks are of course from her one-off Central Park show and are pretty good but benefit from the visuals on the video of that event, with the exception of “I Love You Like a Ball and Chain,” which is not shown in its full concert mode on the video (it starts in rehearsal).

What’s most impressive about this pair of singles, however, is the tagline “featuring Paul Simon on guitar and vocals.” Talk about an honor!!! Annie must have been so flattered that Simon would provide *backup* on his own song for her. I get chills listening to the track with him joining her, seriously….
