Oh, the infamy: this is NOT the Winchester Cathedral album as it was originally released, it’s some bloody compilation of New Vaudeville Band tracks from various sources. So if, like me, you were expecting to have the gleefully infectious “Your Love Ain’t What It Used To Be,” the classic “There’s a Kind of Hush,” “Whispering,” “A Nightengale Sang In Berkeley Square,” ”I Can’t Go Wrong,” “Oh, Donna Clara,” and the sedate “Lilli Marlene,” you should skip this and curse the bastards who had the gall to release an album with the original name and cover art and only THREE OUT OF TEN OF THE ORIGINAL SONGS on it.
All together, now: “YOU BASTARDS AT COLLECTABLES RECORDS!!!”
Hmmph. Bloody bastards.
