What a lovely chorus! “MOVE—Get your shit outta my house / I want your goddamned shit out of my house / Get your shit outta my house / I want your shit out of my house / Now / Thank you!” It doesn’t improve in its remixes, as its first form is just right and oh so tasty, but it’s interesting to hear how it sounds with Jo-Carol Block (presumably it is she under the pseudonym “Bobo” listed in the credits) contributing multitrack backing vox, and I suppose the various “Dub” mixes are useful to DJs if only quirky to the rest of us. Still, it’s a handy ongoing mix to have playing if you’re doing a workout or trying to enliven the tedium of housework (if you don’t prefer to go all Beethoven (I Love to Listen to))—and actually there’s plenty of surreal fun to be found in listening to the deft, selective vocal sampling of “Deep Swing WhoDub” especially.
The bulk of this CD single consists of similarly remixed (and interwoven, to a degree) tracks from Pussy Tourette’s preceding full-length album, Who Does She Think She Is? of 1996. My only real complaint is that I’ve heard nothing from Pussy since this, and honey she was FIERCE!! Daddy wants MORE!
