I actually like this CD quite a lot. I imagine most people I know would be unable to listen to more than a few songs of it at a time, given that the solo and duet tracks have rather relentless drone voices accompanying very strong “yelping” melodies. But somehow I don’t get fazed by that, and I’m able to sit back and enjoy it in an almost trancelike state of appreciation. I also have this group’s Chants de Noël CD, which I found at a major chain store in Manchester (England, England) in 1999 under altogether unlikely circumstances.
