This is a non-listing, actually, to acknowledge a big gap in my musical library that doesn’t reflect my actual interest/appreciation. I love Ella’s voice, but aside from a track on a compilation album and probably one or two on vinyl I don’t have any of her work in my collection. In part that’s because it’s been so readily around me for so many years, and in part it’s a matter of budget availability and figuring out where to even start. Until those planets align, I’m content to listen to what I encounter. Hers is truly one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard.
